Le Corbusier & Pierre Jeanneret armchairs known as LC/PJ-SI-41-A, Advocate and Press Chair in solid teak and nubuck leather. Sold as a pair.

More specifically, this set of two LC/PJ-SI-41-A chairs was utilized in the High Court of Chandigarh, Sector 1. They served as functional seating for the courtrooms advocates. We left the chairs in their original condition as much as possible; they were carefully restored. The wood was cleaned and received a satin varnish layer, while the faux leather was replaced with high-quality, black Belgian nubuck leather, which had acquired some patina and will develop more with usage.

The backrest, seat, and armrests are slightly slanted and covered in leather. "Bridge" type side leg assembly in teak with slanting, profiled flat legs, supporting separate armrests with "roll" type padded covers. A front rail and back rail support the seat from underneath.

Provenance: High Court, Sector 1, Chandigarh - India
Normal wear and tear due to age - very good vintage condition.
Photos of the original state will be included. The item comes with an authenticity certificate.
